BigXthaPlug is giving the fall a date to circle. The Dallas multi-platinum rapper has announced his fourth studio album, BETTER OVER TIME, arriving October 30 — confirmed by a new Spotify pre-release listing and reported by The Source.
The rollout arrived with theater. After a week of teasers — including the disappearance of BigX's face from the artwork of his previous albums AMAR, TAKE CARE and I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY across streaming platforms — he unveiled a cinematic teaser short film on Instagram tracing his journey from childhood and young adulthood to performing before a sold-out crowd. His official store has already opened pre-orders on a collectible "Sonotile" edition that ships on the album's release date.
A Genre-Crossing Moment
BETTER OVER TIME follows I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY, the genre-blending August 2025 album that debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 and Top 3 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart — and became, per The Source, the only album to chart on both the Country and Hip-Hop charts. The first official single, "LITE" featuring Atlanta artist Belly Gang Kushington, is out now, with the album listed as a BigXthaPlug release under exclusive license to UnitedMasters.
