Yung Miami is going solo — officially. On Wednesday, September 30, the Miami rapper announced her debut solo album, Watch Dis, unveiling a cinematic trailer for the project on Instagram. The announcement caps a breakout solo year that has already rewritten her chart story.
FROM YAMS TO WATCH DIS

The album went through a name change on the way here. Miami had previously floated Yams as the working title before deciding it no longer reflected where she was creatively, per reports from That Grape Juice and InMusic. The reveal came with a pointed personal message from the artist herself. "This album is personal," Miami wrote in her September 30 announcement post. "This is me betting on ME. I've been counted out before… I know what that feels like. But I also know what it feels like to prove everybody wrong. WATCH DIS!"
THE "SPEND DAT" RUN
Watch Dis arrives on the back of the biggest solo moment of Miami's career. "Spend Dat," released in April, climbed to No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 — her first solo top 40 entry and the highest-charting release of her career, according to That Grape Juice — becoming one of the summer's defining rap records.
For the former City Girls star — one half of the duo she formed with JT in 2017 before the group's run ended in 2024 — Watch Dis is a genuine new chapter. The album is expected via Uptown Records, per July reporting from CelebrityAccess and Pollstar; no release date has been announced yet.
