Gunna Announces "Pop It," Out Friday, October 9
Gunna is back on the music front. The multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated Atlanta rapper announced his new single "Pop It" on Monday, with the track set to arrive Friday, October 9. The announcement came via press release and introduced the single's official artwork — framed by his team as the beginning of Gunna's next musical chapter.
"Pop It" lands after a year in which Gunna's footprint has stretched well beyond the booth. 2026 has seen him lean into fitness, wellness, strategic partnerships and community work — expanding relationships with Cymbiotika, Flerish Hydration and PATH Water, working with Peloton, and stepping into a creative director role at Under Armour with P-Star, the lifestyle and sportswear platform. His community work has grown through Gunna's Great Giveaway, which now includes the WUNNA Run 5K.

Lil Nas X Returns With "World's Greatest," a Tribute to His Late Mother
Lil Nas X is back with new music for the first time in a year and a half. The Grammy winner released "World's Greatest" on October 1 via Columbia Records — an upbeat, rock-leaning anthem about getting knocked down and standing back up, and a deeply personal tribute to his late mother, Tamikia Hill, who died in August.
A day before the release, he shared a clip of himself listening to a voicemail she left him, built around her favorite saying: "Walk by faith, not by sight." "As I move through life it resonates more and more," he wrote in the announcement.
The track was written entirely by Lil Nas X and produced by C.WRAY and Steve Rusch. The video, directed by Phillip Youmans and shot in Atlanta, pairs him with a younger version of himself as he pushes through a stalled dance rehearsal. The single arrives after a turbulent 2025 for the artist, which included legal proceedings and a mental-health hospitalization. There's no word yet on whether "World's Greatest" signals movement on Dreamboy, the long-teased follow-up to 2021's Montero.
